Venue Description: As one of Museum Row's main attractions, the Cradle of Aviation Museum will fly you through history, covering topics from the development of the first airplanes, to space exploration, to aviation today. Celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the first flight on Long Island, at the new exhibit commemorating Glenn Curtiss? journey over the Hempstead Plains in 1909. Continue your visit at the giant screen IMAX, where the whole family can enjoy new hit movies as well as educational documentaries. Fly the extra mile and send your kids to Aerospace Camp, or plan an out-of-this-world birthday party at the museum. The galleries are open daily 9:30am-5pm throughout the summer, Tuesday-Sunday during the rest of the year. $9, $8 ages 2-12.
