The Junior League of Long Island (JLLI), a nonprofit organization of women volunteers, is asking Long Islanders to donate business-appropriate apparel and accessories for its Fourth Annual First Step Program, which provides professional attire to local women transitioning into the workforce. Donations of new and gently-used suits, dresses, shoes, briefcases, and appropriate accessories will be accepted at the JJLI headquarters through April 1. Donations are tax deductible and all styles and sizes are appreciated. The JLLI Thrift Shop is located at 1395 Old Northern Boulevard, Roslyn. First Step donations may also be delivered during working hours or deposited in the Thrift Shop's 24-hour donation bin. For hours, visit www.jlli.org.
