In her new book, to be released on October 12, Fight Less, Love More: 5-Minute Conversations  to Change Your Relationship without Blowing Up or Giving In (Rodale), couples expert Laurie Puhn explains the simple strategies that can immediately improve your communication and the quality of your relationship. A Harvard-trained lawyer and family and divorce mediator, Puhn is also a married mom and runs a private practice in couples mediation in New York City.

Puhn says that love is conditional, and in order for couples to be successful, it's quality over quantity when it comes to communication. She shows readers how to identify their negative patterns and emotional rationalizations, and replace them with healthier, more constructive ways to communicate better and ultimately improve their relationships. Her approach is simple, giving readers exercises, examples, even sample scripts to use every day and when conflict arises.
